SOPHIE'S RUN @ LAKE WAUKOMIS
A little about Sophie . . .
Sophie was diagnosed shortly after birth with intractable seizures and later a Mitochondrial Disorder. Sophie passed away April 29, 2010, just one month before the Lake Waukomis Men's Club sponsored and held the first "Lake Waukomis 5k". It is in Sophie's memory that the City of Lake Waukomis renamed the Lake Waukomis 5k to Sophie's Run at Lake Waukomis.
Given that Sophie attended schools in Park Hill School District proceeds from Sophie's Run will benefit the Park Hill School District's Assistive Technology Program. Our hope is that all students will have immediate access to Assistive Technology & Communication Devices.

All participants in the Kid’s Dash will be medal winners
